The Center for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine has provided outstanding service to patients in the Washington DC Metropolitan area since 1987.  Our goal is to provide state-of-the-art orthopaedic and sports medicine services for each and every patient. Whether the patient needs surgery, fracture care, general orthopaedic care, or physical therapy, we take an "informed patient" approach. All patients are educated about their condition, and are encouraged to participate in the decision making process. We strive to maintain patient involvement in all aspects of care.

We take exceptional pride in our physical therapy centers, where we provide complete rehabilitation services for our patients, whether surgery was required or not. All rehabilitative services are carefully supervised by Michael Ercole (Director of the Physical Therapy Center), and Dr. Chandra, who is the orthopedic surgeon and the Medical Director of the Center for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine (CFOSM). We also provide comprehensive physical therapy and rehabilitative services for patients who are under care of physicians outside the CFOSM. 

All of our staff members are trained to be professional and attentive to our patients' needs. We have a long track record of very satisfied patients!

Administration: 

Ms. Pooja C. Pama is the Chief Operating Officer of CFOSM. She has vast experience in managing Orthopedic Surgery, Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy Centers.

Ms. Pama is an active member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Executives. She oversees all the processes at CFOSM. Her involvement in the overall operations of the Center ensures that all patients receive the optimal care necessary.

Physical Therapy Center:
We are also proud to have established a well-recognized physical therapy center, which offers a complete range of services. The director of our Physical Therapy Center, Michael A. Ercole, MS, MSPT, CSCS, is a firm believer in physical fitness and attempts to incorporate this ideology into his treatment protocols. Mr. Ercole’s aggressive, exercise based rehabilitation techniques have proven to be very successful over the past 16+ years. Michael and his professional staff are prepared to meet all your physical therapy and rehabilitation needs, as well as address specific requirements for strength training and conditioning.
